Taster sessions to try Morris Dancing are available in the first four weeks of October.  Just come along, there’s no charge!

If you then decide to join us, we pay an annual subscription which is currently £15 (concessions available).

We practise on Monday evenings from the beginning of October to the end of March, 8pm to 10.00pm at

United Reformed Church, Highgate, Kendal LA9 4HE

You must be over 11, male or female, and reasonably fit and active.  We are a friendly, inclusive, enthusiastic group of people, and all are welcome to join us, dancers or musicians.

Our colours are green and burgundy, with white collarless shirts and black breeches, bells, baldricks, and straw hats decorated with flowers; we dance with sticks and hankies. We wear rag jackets and hoods for border dancing.  We will help you get your kit together.

Although we do dance out all year round it is in the summer months from April to September when most performances take place, see Programme.  We dance out at a very wide range of events and venues mostly in the South Lakes area and also further afield, including community events, folk and dance festivals, and our own tours which are usually based at local pubs.

Do come along any time and join in and meet us, or contact the Secretary or Squire for more details, see Contact Us.

Have a look at Us, see if you recognise anyone.
